EDIT) Changed a few layers and added more corrections to shading. I'll add more detail to the mountains once I figure that mess of layers out...

KyuFlake's homeland in Northern Equestria: Her paradise.
This is KyuFlake's main theme (play it while viewing, it sets the theme perfectly): www.youtube.com/watch?v=u_upMK…
:bulletblue:Name: Krystelletine (crys-TELLE-teen)
:bulletblue:Area: Northern-most part of Equestria.
:bulletblue:Info: One of the most breathtaking parts in Equestria, Krystelletine has immense beauty in its vast forests of pine and winding trails of snow crawling up the tall Kraigel (CRY-gell) Mountains. It is almost winter year-round, making the landscape harsh and demanding. The snow covers almost every inch, making a sparkling landscape to take in. A variety of small woodland creatures dwell here; Ice Dragons, Snowshoe Hares, Weasels, Arctic Fox, Ptarmigan, and many more. Ponies who live in this cold environment develop thick coats of fur, and often are born with light colored coats: Black, Blue, Crimson, Dark Browns, and other darker coats are rare in Krystelletine. Coats of Pale Yellow, Grays, Whites, Light Blues, Pale Purples, and Pale Reds are more common. All ponies born here develop harder hooves than the regular "towns folk" further south, due to the harsh environment with rocky areas and ice covered terrain. Many rare minerals can be found at the foot of the mountains, making mining here a necessary living in most locals. Other ways of living here are the demands in lumber. The large pines that grow quickly in the summer take in vast amounts of the spring runoff. The runoff carries ancient minerals down from the snow-capped mountains to the trees, allowing them to grow at alarming rates. In the winter, the pine needles swell with stored water, nutrients, and minerals. The needles from these trees are valuable, due to their healing properties. Many come to gather these needles as healing salves for towns all across Equestria. Lake Kindriin (kin-DREEN) has the clearest waters in all of Equestria. The pollution here is almost zero, allowing many varieties of fish to swarm here and spawn. Rainbow Trout and Salmon are plentiful in early August and late October. Rich nutrients filling the lake act as "healing substitutes" for many creatures who rely on it. Further up the mountains, hot springs well up, bringing minerals from deep within the earth's crust to the surface, and then draining down to Lake Kindriin.
:bulletblue:Weather: Krystelletine has harsh winters and a cool summers. There is almost always snow on the ground, making growth difficult. Daylight is limited, coming to about six-seven hours of daylight per day, naturally depleting times in the winters. In the winter, snow is very heavy, and snows almost every day. It is a rare sight to catch a break in these winter storms, but if it does clear, the sight is spectacular. Nighttime is one of the only times where you can see clear skies. At night, the temperature drops drastically bellow zero. The nighttime sky is also another attraction to Krystelletine, but visiting sight-seer's almost never see it due to their "thin" coats of fur. Stars and Constellations are most visible from Kraigel Peak (third highest point in Equestria).

Spent quite a long time on this. It was originally for practice with layers and gradients, but I got carried away...
I had also used a different formatting for the size of the pixels. 900 x 900 seems best with a pxl. size of .50 for the brushes.

This will be KyuFlake's permanent home. It represents a combination of Northern Japan and Canada.

Hope you like it!
